The Gatelodge is a mid-19th century gatehouse located south-west of the City of Londonderry in Northern Ireland enjoying rural views over the River Foyle, ideal for enjoying a relaxing holiday in peaceful, rural surroundings. Situated on a working farm just 3 miles from the historic walled city of Derry, which is the UK City of Culture 2013, visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions and activities which include golf, sailing, cycling, fishing, historic and scenic walks and enjoy a choice of a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, theatres and cinemas. It is also within easy reach of the Giants Causeway to the East, the golden tranquil beaches of Donegal to the West and the Ulster American Folk Park to the South, to name just a few.
This self catering accommodation has been recently renovated to a very high standard. Awarded 4 Star classification by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, it has three bedrooms which can sleep up to six people. Hall, Living room, Bathroom, with both bath and shower, and large modern kitchen / dining area. Double doors open out from kitchen to a patio / BBQ area. Garden furniture and BBQ provided. Central heating throughout. This cottage has all modern facilities but still retains its Irish cottage charm. It stands within its own secure grounds and so is particularly suitable for families or friends on holiday, or for business people requiring short term accomodation. Internet access is provided.
